I like the drop! It suddenly makes it feel like all the free space in the song gets filled up with so much beautiful harmony and atmosphere. The percussion still sounds crisp while the piano and pads help fill the smooth layer of the song. Also the part at 1:30 with the chord progression change was daring but beautiful. It really added some nice flavor to the song and kept it interesting with the variation. You also finished off the song really nicely with a beautiful soft outro. Awesome work, keep it up!

thank you for the detailed feedback :D
i abused reverb on this one ngl xd
initially i had two seperate melodies
but later realised they work well together
hence the progression change

Fun and pretty :)
I never played Rocket League so I dunno what map this is referring to, but I definitely got a calm beachy feel from this! The feel you created makes me imagine taking a walk across the sea shore in the early sunset hours. I think its a combination of the chord progression, the slightly moderate energetic percussion (which btw, I dunno if intentional, but sounds like shaking sea shells which is perfect), and the mallets with the soft electric piano. Just really beautiful altogether, keep up the amazing work!

Really glad you loved it and thank you so much for such an amazing comment! :)

Super fitting name! This song does sound like water somehow, maybe its the combination of plucks, popping noises, and warbling pads in the back. It also sounds like if late 90s-2000s computer visuals/frutiger aero had a musical counterpart, which I really like. This was a really fun listen so I went through it like two times haha. Great work, keep it up!

LazyKitten21 responds:

So glad you enjoyed, I appreciate the love!!

You did a very good job with the intensity in this track! The arp constantly being there and phasing in and out builds suspense, the percussion pattern builds up anticipation, and just after that small break around 1:10 you get into this techno funk around 1:18 that just sounds sooo good. This is definitely very fitting for a boss theme. Great work once again, keep it coming!

You know, I showed all three of these fanmade tracks to the co-founder of Badorkbee, the studio that made Isle; he was in love with all of them lol. He offered me a spot as their second musician (they already have one by the name of boredome who is GOATED), so yeah I'll be making official tracks for Badorkbee now!

I dunno what the original sounds like, but I definitely like this one! It feels like it carries you very deep into thoughts/spacing out, with the steady beat, rain ambience, and muted/warm instruments. I really like the contrast between the rain sounding very clear/crisp, and the main piano/pads sounding very spread out and warm. Awesome work as always, keep it up :D

octopus58 always with the peak reviews 🙏I'm glad you enjoyed man!

This sounds fun, spacey, and energetic :)
I feel like this would've fit perfectly in a flash game back in the day, and who knows, maybe someone can use this in a game someday haha. It's just the flow is very fun and feels like it would go over an action segment well, but it also somehow sounds nostalgic? Hard to describe. Either way, great work, keep it up :D

microngd responds:

Thanks, glad that you enjoy it

Very fun beat! The percussion is energetic and actiony, but interestingly enough it fits very well with the other calmer layers of the song. Kind of emphasizes a nice, ideal, clean city feel that way I think... actiony and lively, but also peaceful. Keep up the great work as always :)

GuitARBEn responds:

Thank you for this great feedback!

Nice and peaceful :)
I like the instruments you used for this, they're very cohesive and all have this nice rounded feeling (is rounded even the right word? Hard to explain a sound haha). My favorite instrument is probably that little mallet synth like thing with the delay on it. I started spacing out while listening to this too lol. Great work, keep it up as always!

BusanBlack responds:

Thanks octopus! I was going for something to space out too. Just a relaxing tune. I'm glad you liked it. :D

I instantly recognized the M1 haha, particularly the Busy Talk lead preset :)
This is an interesting fusion of energies and it's got a nice groove. If I could suggest something though, the guitar chugs either sound not pitched to the rest of the song, or are maybe overwhelming a bit (too loud/mixing issue?). Otherwise it's really nice! Keep it up as always :)

GuitARBEn responds:

First of all, thank you so much for your feedback! Me too, I think it's funny, that you instantly recognized the lead sound at the beginning of the song :)
Once again, I recorded the drums with a midi keyboard and for some reason, it took me so many attempts to finally get them done.
Concerning the guitar chugs: it's the part, the song was built up on, that means, it was the first instrument I recorded. I wanted something simple to be able to concentrate on the timing, so I went for a riff with just two power chords (B and A) and a pretty primitive rhythm as well. Then I recorded the bass guitar, with a slightly more complex rhythm. After that, I came up with that chords, which are something like B Maj 9 and A minor 7, while both power chords appear for each chord, if you know what I mean (maybe that's why it might sound as if the chugs were not correctly pitched to the rest of the song).
When this was done, I recorded the drums and then finally the two melodies.

Every time, when I record a song, I first use my Logitech computer speakers (with a subwoofer) and afterwards I check, how it sounds through my Panasonic stereo, which is pretty bassy. This way, I can check, whether there is too much bass in my song or not. So for this song, I really needed to cut away the bass frequencies of the chug guitar quite a bit, but maybe you're right, that the guitar is still a little too loud. Well, I didn't listen to the song through my headphones yet, so I hope it will still sound decent then.

Sorry, if this response was a bit too long, but I thought, I have to explain a few things.

This was pretty cool! My favorite part is when the piano kicks in, the song starts to feel very emotional with it. The whole song kind of feels like an intense boss battle, and the crushed instruments make it sound industrial. Great work as always, keep it up :D
