This sounds like some pretty magical battle music! It really reminded me of Robert Miles's Children, especially when the bass kicked in, but with a ton of uniqueness and your own style. There was a lot of emotion in the track, especially when the strings kick in, and a good energy to fit a battle in the more intense sections of the song. Great work, keep it up!

<3 Thanks a ton for the kind words. Thanks for taking time to review. Hope you're having a good day today

Sounds pretty and dancey! Kind of has a house vibe to it, and a lot of the instruments you used created kind of a chilly but pretty atmosphere. I love the layers you introduce as the song goes on too, they make the song sound fun and not get boring. There are some crackles I feel but that might be a headphones issue on my end haha. Great work, keep it up!

ty for the review!

This sounded nice and atmospheric :)
The steady beat kinda helped make the song calm, and the instruments such as the guitar and mallets you used helped further instill that relaxed feeling. Feels like a great song to space out to. Great stuff, keep it up!

thankyuuuuu!!!!

This was really nice, I found it calming and pretty to listen to in the morning as the light starts to hit my room :)
It sounds spaced out-y, and the instruments you chose are also nice and spacey. I like the effects and fades you put in the track too, they help increase the already established calm atmosphere and make the song entrancing. Great work, keep it up :D

Domido responds:

Thank you so much. I wanted to make it relaxing and spacey especially since I am in a very stressful time and music helps me calm down.
I am planning on doing a whole series of songs and always try out a different "space ambient", so happy you like it!

Woah, this sounds so symphonic! Like an actual piece I'd hear at a concert hall or something. The instruments are so well articulated, both in terms of dynamics and just flair. I love the moods you cycle through, and at times it feels cold and desolate while at others it feels mighty and magical. In my opinion, being able to cycle like that just through articulation of instruments is part of what makes a symphony feel reel, it evokes strong and different kinds of emotions. Your track feels like a story on its own, which is perfect, so I really think you hit the nail on the head here. The only thing I'd suggest is that around 3:27 to 3:39 there's a little bit of distortion due to how loud it is (probably something that can be fixed via mixing) but honestly that's my only nitpick! But yeah this is honestly amazing work, I don't come by a lot of symphonic stuff on Newgrounds, so I just wanted to say awesome composition and keep it up!!

Oh and the ending is amazing and a beautiful finale to the piece, absolutely awesome! (kind of reminded me a bit of Dvorak for some reason)

Etingi responds:

Thank you so much for listening and commenting, it's very appreciated! Your compliments to my composition mean the world, truly! I'll definitely see if I can go into the mixer and mess around with things to fix it so I will absolutely keep that in mind. Once again, thank you so much for listening!

This sounds like a mix between Eurodance and late 2000s techno, I love it! A large chunk of my childhood was listening to stuff like this haha. This specific song reminded me for some reason a bit of DJ Mangoo's Eurodancer and a bit of DJ Splash, but still with your own unique original melody and style. It's definitely danceable, and you also chose some great leads and synths for this. Awesome stuff, keep it up!

Thanks!

Interesting beat :)
Kind of makes me think about riding the subway at night for some reason. It has a calmness to it, a looming gloomyness maybe, and a city feel too with the percussion and ambience. It's a cool combo all together honestly and what makes this song unique I think. Great work once again, keep it coming!

Ei8hty responds:

It's very similar to what I was going for, so I'm glad I hit the mark!

The song already sounded pretty leading up to the drop, but as soon as the drop happened, this magical and chill atmosphere just kicked in full force. I love the mixing in this, it's very clean, and the instruments you chose feel like they massage the brain haha. I just wish it was longer! Great work, keep it up :D

SupersnakeOfficial responds:

Thank you much for the kind words! ❤️ means alot!! (It's just a snippet, so the full song will be out soon!)

Interesting track! It's really long, but it feels like you can zone out to it or work to it, which I think is pretty cool. It would fit perfectly in a game, especially given the setting you described in your description. Somehow it does sound like it would also fit a garden, just a futuristic one, which is also cool as I feel you hit that nail on the head! You used a lot of interesting instruments and strayed away from being too repetitive by putting alternate variations of melodies or just different melodies in general here and there. Great work overall, keep it up!

AcidHydra101 responds:

thank you! i really appreciate this critique :]
also, regarding the song length, it's a feature, not a mistake - i had to talk myself out of making it even longer!
(which is especially funny given that I have a *20 minute song* waiting for my cover art in the pipeline)

This track has a very interesting flow, I see how it would be perfect for a rhythm game haha. The progression keeps taking this song to new places with completely different beats and feels throughout, which makes this song really unique in my opinion. The mixing was also really crisp as even when it would get very loud, nothing would sound distorted, which probably wasn't easy to do. The percussive noises you use, the bass, and just so much of the instruments sound like a whole experience for the ears I don't know how to even explain this haha. The amount of fun and crazy turns in this song is just awesome. Absolutely beautiful work, keep it up!!!

SilynSounds responds:

Thanks for the kind word! It's not often that people notice anything related to the mixing!
