This is very cool! It kind of feels like the first part is an intro or a cutscene in a game, while the part after the break is the awesome main menu or something haha. The instruments and how you used them are great too, really helps build up the tension over time and have them all climax at once which does a lot of emotional stuff. Awesome work as always, keep it up!!

Thank you so much! It definitely wasn't this complex when I first wrote it, very glad that you enjoyed it <3

Definitely sounds very creepy, but I see what you mean by nostalgic. Not sure I ever heard this combo before, but it's very unusual and interesting. The grainyness helped add to the creepy feeling along with the chord progression, but the end past 02:30 just gets completely messed up and I love it for what it's going for! It's unusual but in a good way, so keep it up with your creative work :)

Thank you!!

It sounds very gloomy at the start, but it definitely picks up pace around half way which is really cool because it feels you can really feel the "approach" musically. I feel like storytelling is a big part of cinematic music and you definitely have it done very well here! Also the instrumentation choice is great, and the string melodies with the occasional vocal stabs really help build intensity, as well as the drums changing throughout. Awesome work, keep it coming :D

To me, that is what music should be about; telling a story, depicting a scene, or conveying an emotion. Achieving that in a song difficult to do in my opinion, but hearing that kind of feedback is what makes this hobby enjoyable, and worth the many, many, MANY hours that it takes to produce a track like this.

Thanks for the great feedback!

I really appreciate the attempt as it's already somewhat rare for people to make music in any time signature that's not 3/4 or 4/4 (me included lol) but this is taking it like 10 steps further lmao. And yet despite this, it still sounds really interesting. Disorienting kind of, but that could fit well in a lot of scenarios so I think it only goes towards the benefit here. And you're right, this is ridiculous, but in the totally fun and experimental way! Keep having fun and keep it up :)

MandrakeGuy responds:

thank you! in fact i only know one instance of decimal time signatures out there and thats Phonon's track "Emme" which uses decimal time signatures in its first drop, i hope to maybe even explore them further and see where they can be useful in regular music :POG: <3

I feel like you really captured the monstrous energy you were going for! This sounds kind of majestic, suspenseful, and cautious. There's like a feeling of almost danger when listening to this but amazement at the same time. I love how you used bass in this case to emphasize emotion, and the percussive pattern was also really nice to listen to and helped establish the edge feeling. The little chiptune break was really nice too and acted as a nice segway into yet another powerful part. I really love how this composition went, keep up the amazing work!

Thank you so much for this detailed review! Yes, I was mostly going for displaying the planet as a giant monstrous entity, yet still our protector

I love the trickly noise and the weird but awesome percussion you use for the claps, they're so unusual and sound so cool! In general the percussive stuff in here is great, but the melody is very beautiful too. This song is just a journey on its own because it goes so many directions throughout it's length. I can tell you really enjoyed playing with this song that's for sure, it sounds very versatile and fun. Awesome job, keep it up :D

I sure had fun making it :) appreciate your comment!

You have a lot of very interesting gates and time play past the intro, which give the song it's weird uniqueness and even actiony edge I'd say, which makes this song perfect for imagining somewhat of a dynamic scene. I love the mastering on this track and the instrumentation choice too, it sounds so different compared to any dubstep I've heard before. I really love how special it came out and it was very cool to listen to, so keep up the awesome work!!

Thank you so much for the in depth review. Appreciate the feedback :D

That was a pretty interesting intro, it felt like it was getting a little out of control but it also felt like it was intentional which was pretty cool! For the rest of the track, the progression was pretty interesting and the bassline was very groovy. The melody was pretty cool too. I love what you did, keep up the great work :D

BusanBlack responds:

Thank you so much for the review. Yeah I was going for like an early 90s game sound in the intro something reminiscent of TMNT.

The way you wrote this song somehow really manages to tug onto my emotions, I can't tell what exactly it is... I feel like its maybe the versatility of timbres use (the low growling noises from what sounds like the cello to the light and shrilly violins) and the combination with the slow but beautiful and amazing melody that keeps building up throughout parts of this composition. It's really an amazing piece and feels almost as if it's telling a story. The little intermission with the clarinet (or oboe?) was also so beautiful. This also reminds me a lot of classical music that I enjoy. Keep up the amazing work, I can tell you put a lot of soul into it and that's what makes it special :)

ZaazNG responds:

Thank you so very much for your wonderful review and kind words <3
This tune is very near and dear to my heart, and it came straight from my heart as well, really glad that you enjoyed it! :)

This is so beautiful! Throughout listening to this I found so many different parts I really enjoyed. First off the sound choice, such a random one but all the instruments fit so well together! They were also really soothing and I can easily see why you named the song clouds. Secondly the melody was just really beautiful and relaxing, and had multiple parts. Lastly, the progression was just great altogether and it just kept getting more and more interesting! I really love this, keep it coming :D
