Sounds like something that would play at a night time beach side restaurant, I love it a bunch! In general I love these kinds of songs, so hearing this made me pretty happy haha. Great start, great progression, and amazing atmosphere. The playing of the guitars also sounds very authentic too! Awesome stuff, keep it up :D

Awesome! thank you for a great review and a happy vibe!

The song has a great funky start! It proceeds to lead into a beautiful melody all up until the very end. It kinda reminds me of Sonic music a bit for some reason haha (adventure era Sonic at least). Feels like the perfect track to put in a video game in a chill night time city or something like that. Awesome work once again, keep it up :D

BusanBlack responds:

Thanks! Yeah I could totally see a night time city for a game. Running through the town and just kickin' back. I had a crazy thunderstorm over my house while I was working on this beat and the flashes were wild so I had to make something upbeat but while also staying calm to haha.

Always nice to hear something cool made in a tracker lol, this song has a great happy energy to it :)

The progression is great as it is varied, and when repetition of motifs happens it still sounds fresh and nice. The instruments you chose were very acid and ravey, which fit super well together too. Keep it up :D

if you master a tracker you can do pretty much the same stuff as in a regular, traditional DAW :)
classic old trackers like protracker, fasttracker ii, octamed, impulse (schism) tracker have a lot of limitations, but there are modern ones - renoise, sunvox, openmpt/modplug (the one i use) - they support vsts and are generally powerful.
i also really like openmpt for other reasons:
1 - it's super lightweight and very stable
2 - vertical playback is great: easy to sequence, everything is super convenient to control in the "patterns" tab
3 - a quicker way to make melodies (piano rolls look like a nightmare these days LOL)
4 - patterns can be absolutely ridiculously long and wide. i love that. i love when there is a lot of open space.
5 - it's open source!!!1!!1!
thank you for the review!

Awesome song as always! Sounds like something out of a sneaky or mysterious scene in a mall or something, not sure why I got that vibe haha. I like how it starts out kinda subtle, but then develops more melodies over the already nicely established percussion line. Keep making great stuff :)
PS Sorry for not checking out your stuff in a while btw, been really busy ;_;

BusanBlack responds:

Yeah originally I think the drum beat was going to be more like a spy/action sound. Even when the bass comes in I was thinking like ok... something still heavy with a bit of action. But then I started adding in the chords and I was thinking it felt more of a relaxed vibe evening out the intensity of drums and bass.

Also Im glad you did stop by around to listen to my recent beats. I haven't been on in over a month so no biggies. Thanks for the review!

Definitely energetic lol. It sounds happy and playful too :D
As always keep it up!

batteries, more batteries, more energy, more... more batteries

I don't know if this is trance, but it definitely sounds more ravey and dancey. Which is good anyways because the track sounds awesome! The energy and atmosphere are great and exciting. Keep up the awesome work :D

wineplume responds:

thanks! went crazy with this one lol

This sounds exciting! Definitely has the happy energy I'd imagine heading into spring, when the sun starts being out longer and everything starts coming alive again. It has this really nice classic dance energy to it too, and the drums provide an awesome kick. Amazing stuff, keep it up!!

wineplume responds:

thank you! yeah, it's rather dance than dnb lol

I never played mega man zero 3 before, but your remix of that song is amazing! It's a great mix of atmospheric, as well as having a great kick of energy in there. Just feels like a bundle of lighthearted fun, especially when the guitars kick in around 1:20. The panning of different instruments and effects was like candy for my ears. Overall amazing remix, keep it up!!

Thank you! This is a rare instance where I've actually played the game before as well as remixed it. Normally I look for music in games I maybe haven't played!
