This sounds really sweet and happy, I like it :D
Something with a good punch of energy, but also relaxing and happy. I love how despite the chord progression repeating throughout the song, it keeps varying up with other segments and keeps the song interesting. The atmosphere is also very end of the day-y, or sunsety lol. Great work, keep it up :)

tabbybazl responds:

thank you! fun fact i made this chord progression almost 2 years ago now, and i opened the project while i was surfing through old stuff and i found it and turned it into this!

Interesting flow here, I like it! Definitely good mixing, especially for the bass and percussion. There's a ton of energy but great melodic segments, and more than enough variation to keep the song interesting! This would be so cool to see in an action sequence or something in a game haha. Great work, keep it up!

DJPastaYaY responds:

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

For some reason, this reminded me of part of the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack, especially in the beginning haha. This sounds really good though! Could definitely see it in some kind of 80s action movie or something similar. The guitar that kicks in a little after halfway is also so cool and played so realistically :D
Definitely one of my favorites that I've heard from you, keep up the awesome work as always!!

edit (response): Of course it doesn't matter that it's programmed haha, its all about how it sounds!

GuitARBEn responds:

I'm glad you like my song that much! But none of these instruments are played with a midi keyboard or something, it's all just programmed. I hope that doesn't matter.

So pretty, sounds like beach chill music which is one of my favorite atmospheres :D
I can totally imagine something like this playing during sunset at one of those beachside cafes on the Mediterranean or something. It's funny because the lyrics are sad, but the melody sounds so uplifting and lovey. But for real the atmosphere you created is great, and this is sick all around, great work and keep it up!!

CasualBreather responds:

Thanks a lot for this detailed review and the good rating! I really like the depiction you made of the ambiance!

I dunno I really like this, it feels like frutiger aero music or whatever you wanna call it haha. The type of music you'd imagine when you think of early 2000s internet I'd say. I love the melodic percussive instrument you have through the whole track that sounds kind of like a melodic cowbell, it's fun and goes with everything very well! Overall this song just made me feel very nice and nostalgic, I just wish it was longer c:
Amazing stuff, keep it up!

LGmusic responds:

thanks! also yea I totally agree haha

Oh man, I wish this was longer, it's so pretty and relaxing c:
I like the intro with just the synths, but the melody post the drop sounds so beautiful mixed in with all the other instruments like the percussion and the guitar. Sounds like the type of music you'd listen to if you were on the moon watching spaceships fly by haha. Great work, keep it coming!

I extended and expanded it: https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1448296

Sounds like the original GB versions of Pokemon music, I love it! Always cool to see people make Pokemon battle themes with completely original melodies. It feels like you followed the formula pretty well too, with a buildup before the main melodic part starts, a little break around the middle, before getting back into an intense section. Great work here, keep it coming!

Thanks, I used the formula from this video (it's in spanish)

Beautiful orchestration! It really does sound like the beginning of a very exciting and fantastic adventure. The work on the strings feels like it was key to amp up the other instruments like the woodwinds. The percussive work is great too, it's just the right amount of oomf the song needed while keeping it somewhat calm and happy! This game feels worth checking out just for the soundtrack alone haha. Amazing work, keep it up!!

xalezar responds:

Thanks for the detailed review! I’m glad the adventure feeling came through. Yeah, I wanted to do more with the phrasing and dynamics, but it ended up too quiet when played on speakers, so I had to flatten out the expression quite a bit.

Will slowly upload the rest of this OST over the next while. There’s like 10 tracks or so.

I really like the classic dance chord progression, and the instruments you chose! The house piano was a great choice for this as well. Personal suggestion though, this would sound super awesome with some more bass and percussion! It would honestly almost instantly make this an amazing dance hit haha. But otherwise this is great, keep it up :D

DeimosMusic responds:

Thanks!

Very beautiful and dreamy :)
I like how cohesive all the instruments you used are, and the buildup to the more "intense" parts of the song. I put intense in quotes because I meant in the scope of ambient music kinda haha, so nothing crazy but definitely more energy and stuff. The main lead throughout most of the song is really beautiful, and I love the piano accent backing too. Very pretty work, keep it up :D

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it :3
