Ooh, another nice song! Love the FM sound on this, and the progression is very interesting. This definitely feels like a mix of something that would be more futuristic, but also has so much classical 80s music elements. Would totally fit some neon lit night time street in some game. Once again great work, keep it coming!

Thanks!!! I actually love fm synthesis it's great

Fun sounding experiment! I like the song that came out of it, it sounds pretty exciting and adventurous. The lead instruments you used are cool, and the compressed percussion also adds a lot to the energy. It's also nice that you didn't stick to strictly one style of retro/chiptune, but you used stuff like genesis instruments with some arcade sounds, and more modern pads etc.. This song feels like it would fit perfectly in some kind of intense snowboarding level in a game. Great work, keep it up!

JustDen responds:

Thx! Btw i like retro sounds!

Great mix of melody and dubstep going on here :)
The whole song definitely has this feeling of flowing, especially due to the fact that it starts fast and then slows down, only to accelerate later back to normal tempo. It's honestly very interesting and you made it work very well! The melody also sounds great, it's very exciting and actiony, and all the dubstep elements you added for it only amplify everything to sound even better. The ending was also very pretty! Keep up the great work :D

Thank you for the feedback! Really appreciated.

I'm very surprised and pleased by how much the melody varies through this track! Usually most songs I hear just repeat sections of music with variation to it (which is fine of course) but this just keeps evolving as it goes on for almost it's whole duration! The modulation on some of the instruments sounds very authentic to the old 8-bit style, and the melody is very nostalgic. This would fit perfectly in an action scene in some NES game or something of the sort. You also have both a perfect start and finish to the song that makes it feel complete. Amazing work, keep it up!!

BitsAndPieces responds:

Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate that, as this is really my 7th attempt at a truly 8-bit sound. I usually incorporate chiptunes with modern elements like rock/metal, but I wanted to go back to my roots and try something new.

I'm so glad you like it! I'll be sure to include some more as I make them! :)

This song almost immediately starts out with this cool tremolo sounding melody, slightly drowned in a bunch of pleasing sounds like an unusual percussion line and different pads. It just gives the song an instantly unique and cool feature! Though short it was really fun to listen to and sounded very beautiful, and I really love the instruments you picked out. They all work together in unison to create this moody and even alien sounding song. Great work, keep it coming!

DJ-MONKEYBALLS responds:

Very kind words, thank you for listening!

Nice and atmospheric! Your description is also a nice addition to the track. I usually read them after finishing listening to a song to see if the feelings I got matched, and I can definitely feel a mood of waiting or time just flying by. I think it's a combo of the chord progression you used (mainly back and forth chords), the drum beat you used, and the synth effects. It's honestly very fitting! Great work on this, keep it up :)

Very fun sounding song :)
Kind of just feels very chill but also has an interesting groove packed into it that makes it sound adventurous. Kinda makes me think of exploring a hazy forest for some reason haha. The combo of the nice reverbed piano with the heavy growly synth is really cool and gives the song a unique flavor. Nice stuff, keep it up!

thank you so so much!

Ooh when that synth kicked in at around 0:16 I instantly felt so dancey, love this song! It feels ravey, synthpopy, and funky. Just a great combination of so many different things going on, and the energy is just right! The melody is really pretty, and I love the piano backing a lot too. Awesome stuff, keep it up!

Manvis responds:

Thanks man, I really appreciate it :)

As soon as I heard that bell sound I knew this was going to be another banger!! This is so, so classic 2000s dance/trance and I'm so here for it. The melody is nice and unique, the progression is great, the energy is awesome, the bass is pumping, everything is just going right. I think a good part of my enjoyment is definitely nostalgia, but the song is definitely also nice as something that stands out on its own. The ending was pretty unexpected but interesting haha. Keep up the awesome work as always!

Belastet responds:

Thanks for the awesome feedback!!

Really interesting mood going on here, kind of like mysterious and explorative. I like it! The instruments are pretty cool, especially that hollow sounding square lead like one. It makes for a great main instrument when you use it, but you also give other instruments a fair chance too like the piano towards the end. Also the change in beat around 1:22 is a really weird and cool unique touch! Great stuff, keep it up :)
