A beautiful game with a deep story

Great work! This was really fun and seemed to have quite good polish. I love the main mechanic, and I love how you made the gameplay progressively difficult with only the hook being used. It was very creative, very enticing, and I loved it. Keep up the awesome work!

Amazing remake. Really took me back lol, I loved how accurate it was to the original, even the animations. Only thing is audio was being a bit too loud/distorted, but maybe that's on my end... but seriously though it's a great game and I loved it, keep it coming!

Didn't expect that ending, that was super cool though! I loved how challenging this is, and how you had to think a lot instead of brute forcing through the whole game. Keep it up :)

Thank you very much!

I loved this game so much, sure it was short and simple but it felt really fun to get all those upgrades! It just felt very pleasing to start out from something so little and then exponentially grow like crazy until the end. Won't spoil the end but... graphics were really unexpected which made it cool lol.

Kinda wish there was more upgrades and the game was longer, but I'll definitely take this. It was really fun to play through, so please keep making games :D

Thank you so much for the kind words, it really encourages me :)

We need more OS games so I'm glad you're making one! But I really suggest working a bit more on the build before releasing it to the public. This OS feels very janky at the moment, certain elements of windows overlap other windows, dragging the windows centers to your cursor and not around where you clicked, and so on. I'm not sure if this is intentional but Google is also misspelt in two different ways, one on the side bar and the other on the window itself ("Ggoggle and Goggle"). Reopening windows after they close puts them back to the same position where they were last, which can be a little annoying.

Shutting down the OS also has no way to boot it back up, you might wanna change that since it might be a hassle to refresh the page just to play again. Also the search doesn't work/doesn't display anything.

What would definitely help is adding instructions, and releasing the game in a far more stable state. People usually like to be able to play with a game, even if it is in beta, but this isn't realy playable.

This would be an interesting game to see, but please work on it a little more before releasing it on NG! It's a cool idea but it's even better if we can actually play with it

Thanks, I might update later on. Scratch OSes are hard to make because of the limitations of the scratch engines and how layers can work.
Also Google is supposed to be spelt Goggle, and the Ggoggle spelling is also Goggle, with an icon (sorry if that confused you!)

I might make something like this again. Depends on what i want to do with my schedule.

I really like the direction of this game, but it's just a bit janky/confusing at times. I'll try to give as much insight as I can to help you make it better because I think it definitely has potential!

First off, thank you for adding a description with instructions. I think it's really important to let people know how to play your game especially if it has unusual controls. Though, I suggest adding some more information on the popit menu.

About the popit menu, it has a nice opening animation and looks fairly simple, but I feel you should be able to choose where the new block will appear. And sometimes choosing clear square deletes all squares on the level.

Another thing is, the space to build the level is a bit too small. It would be cool to have a scrollable camera, and/or an option to decide how big the world should be.

A few minor suggestions is allowing the player to choose what kind of square/object to place, adding premade enemies/obstacles, etc.

tl;dr this game has a lot of potential, but I suggest making more fixes before you upload a new version to make it enjoyable!

L1C3 responds:

Thank you, I can do a lot of these.

I am planning to make it so you can choose where the squares go later on.
And other types of objects (like simple decor or maybe even stickers) would go really well!
About scrolling, I've tried it on scratch before, but it's really janky. I'll see if i can replace it with something like scenes that you can go in by going to the left or right perhaps?

And yes, Clear Square does delete all the squares, but I bet i could make it so it's just a mode where you can click on squares to delete.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it!
(Updated game to add many objects)

Wow this is so fun! I'm yet to figure out the rest of the options, but I think this is a really creative game idea, and very fun to paint in. Only suggestion I would have is some kind of instructions, either in game or in description, especially for key features such as saving the game. Keep up the amazing work :)
